JMGO launches IRIS Ultra projectors with Google TV and 4K at $3,799
JMGO's IRIS Ultra projector series is now shipping with built-in Google TV and 4K resolution at 120Hz, starting at $3,799. This launch aims to meet consumer demand for high-quality, large-screen expeโฆ
JMGO said its IRIS Ultra projector series began shipping today with builtโin Google TV and a premium 4K display that can run at 120โฏHz. The launch covers the 65โinch and 100โinch models and is being handled from the companyโs Shenzhen production line. Customers can order the units online and expect delivery within two weeks in the United States, Europe and parts of Asia.
The move comes as homeโtheater projectors try to catch up with largeโscreen TVs that now offer high dynamic range and smooth motion. Over the past year, consumers have shown a growing appetite for bigโscreen experiences that donโt require a permanent installation. Google TV, which unifies streaming services under a single interface, has become a popular platform for smart TVs, but few projectors have offered it natively. JMGOโs decision to embed the OS directly into the hardware aims to fill that gap and give projector buyers a plugโandโplay solution.
The IRIS Ultra ships with a true 4K (3840โฏรโฏ2160) panel that can refresh at 120โฏHz, a rate usually reserved for highโend gaming monitors. JMGO lists a brightness of 2,500โฏlumens and a contrast ratio of 1,200โฏ:โฏ1, plus motorised lens shift and keystone correction for easy placement. Prices start at $3,799 for the 65โinch version and $5,999 for the larger model. Early reviews from Android Authority praise the colour accuracy and the seamless Google TV integration, noting that the remote works like a TV remote and that voice control is available through Google Assistant.
The company says the units will be stocked in major electronics retailers by the end of the month, and software updates are planned to add more streaming apps and gaming features. Analysts expect the IRIS Ultra to pressure traditional TV manufacturers, especially in the premium segment where 120โฏHz refresh rates are becoming a selling point. If the projector performs as advertised, it could broaden the market for largeโscreen, highโrefreshโrate home entertainment and push other projector makers to adopt similar smartโTV platforms.
