Futures indicate a promising start for Wall Street on Wednesday, with major index futures showing an upward trend. The S&P 500 futures are up 0.6 percent, suggesting an extension of the rally from the previous session. This follows a notable rebound in stock prices, particularly led by the tech-heavy Nasdaq, which surged by nearly 800 points on Tuesday.

The optimism fueling this surge centers on recent comments from President Donald Trump regarding U.S. military involvement in Iran. Trump stated that he anticipates U.S. forces could withdraw from Iran in "two or three weeks." He dismissed the necessity of a negotiated settlement, claiming that the situation is already beyond repair. This announcement has created a wave of confidence among investors, eager for stability in geopolitical affairs. Trump's address to the nation scheduled for 9 pm ET is expected to provide further clarity on the situation.

In addition to the geopolitical news, economic indicators are also contributing to the positive sentiment. The payroll processor ADP reported a rise in private sector employment, with an increase of 62,000 jobs in March, exceeding economists' expectations. Retail sales also showed slight growth, climbing by 0.6 percent in February, which was better than anticipated. This economic data, combined with the geopolitical developments, is bolstering investor confidence.

Despite the positive movements this week, the major averages experienced significant declines throughout March, with the Dow down 5.4 percent and the S&P 500 down 5.1 percent. As markets react to both the economic reports and the evolving situation in Iran, investors will be watching closely for any further developments. The Institute for Supply Management is set to release its report on manufacturing activity for March shortly after trading begins, which could also influence market momentum.
