The 2026 NCAA football season will be available to fans on a mix of traditional networks and streaming services, according to the latest schedule released by the NCAA. Games will air on ESPN, CBS, Fox, and the Big Ten Network, while most of the action will also stream on ESPN +, CBS All Access, and the NFL’s new platform, Paramount+. The College Football Playoff and national championship will be broadcast on ABC and ESPN, with the championship game streaming on ESPN + for the first time.

This shift reflects the growing trend of cord‑cutting and the NCAA’s push to reach younger viewers. In 2024 the NCAA signed a multi‑year deal with ESPN that added a streaming tier for all games, and the 2025 season saw the first playoff game streamed on a subscription service. Fans now expect to watch games on their phones or laptops rather than through a cable box. The new contracts also give teams more revenue, which can be used to improve facilities and scholarships.

Specific details for 2026 include 12 regular‑season games on ESPN +, 8 on CBS All Access, and 6 on Fox Sports Go. The Big Ten Network will stream 10 games on its app, while the Pac‑12 will use the Pac‑12+ platform for 7 games. The championship game on ABC will be free to stream on ESPN + for U.S. viewers, but international fans will need a VPN or a local partner. Prices for the streaming services vary: ESPN + is $6.99 per month, CBS All Access is $5.99, and the new NFL‑based platform is $7.99. Fans can also purchase single‑game passes for $3.99 each.

What happens next is that teams will start setting up their streaming infrastructure in the summer. Coaches will need to coordinate with the NCAA to ensure their broadcasts meet technical standards. Viewers should check the official NCAA website for a complete list of links and to confirm whether their local station carries a game. As the season approaches, the NCAA will release a final schedule and any changes to streaming rights, so fans should stay tuned for updates.
