Sony just introduced a trio of new ULT Tower party speakers, each of which replaces an older model. They are packed with connectivity options and can even be chained together to create multi-room audio, for the kinds of parties that'll definitely draw the ire of local law enforcement.

All of these speakers have numerous connection ports, including XLR, RCA and USB-C. This means they can connect to just about any modern DJ hardware. They can also integrate with Sony's ULT MIC1 microphone for karaoke sessions.

Perhaps the biggest connectivity boost, however, is the new Party Chain feature. These speakers can connect together wirelessly via Bluetooth Auracast technology , which has previously been reserved for the company's headphones. This is a pretty big deal for anyone planning multi-room gatherings. The only downside? The Auracast tech is only integrated with these speakers, for now, so they won't be able to wirelessly connect to older models.

Each of these speakers also feature four simple EQ buttons. ULT1 and ULT2 prioritize bass response to varying degrees. The FLAT button delivers a "true-to-source" listening experience and the LIVE button looks to recreate the feel of a performance.

The baddest of the bunch is the ULT Tower Max, which Sony says "delivers the most powerful bass yet" in one of its party speakers. There's a rear woofer, four tweeters and a mid-range speaker. It uses the company's 360-degree Party Sound technology, which projects "powerful audio all around the space." This model includes upgraded wheels with wider treads, for easy transport, which is good because it's on the larger side. It costs $1,500 and replaces the pre-existing Tower 10 model .

The ULT Tower 7 also features those same upgraded wheels and access to the Party Sound tech. It boasts an IPX4 water-resistance rating, for outdoor soirees, and a battery that lasts 30 hours per charge. It costs $650 and replaces the XV800 speaker.

The ULT Tower 5 is the most diminutive of the bunch, but should still be able to keep a party stocked with tunes. It also features the same IPX4 rating, though the battery only lasts for around 20 hours. This one costs $450 and replaces the XV500.
