Slack launches Slack Code for AI coding in team collaboration channels

Slack has launched a new product called Slack Code, aimed at integrating AI coding into team collaboration. The Salesforce-owned messaging platform announced this development today, allowing users to embed AI coding agents, including Anthropic's Claude Code, Cognition's Devin, GitHub Copilot, and Vercel's agent, directly into dedicated Slack channels. This feature enables entire teams to collaboratively observe, guide, review, and deploy software projects in real-time.

The introduction of Slack Code comes as more organizations seek to enhance productivity through tools that facilitate teamwork in a remote and hybrid work environment. Traditionally, interactions with AI coding agents have been limited to one-on-one exchanges, often taking place in isolation.
