Mission Increase has launched a global expansion to train nonprofit fundraisers, beginning with free online courses for 5,000 nonprofit workers across 40 countries.

The push comes as global giving stagnates and nonprofit leaders struggle with donor fatigue after years of overlapping crises. Mission Increase, founded in 2015 by the Innovative Fundraising Group, built its reputation on in-person training for Christian ministries. But demand has grown beyond faith-based groups, and the pandemic proved digital learning can scale. As a result, the organization is moving from small workshops to a full online academy, starting with a six-week fundraising fundamentals course.

The first cohort includes staff from Kenya, Brazil, India, and the Philippines. Mission Increase says 80% of nonprofits in the Global South lack formal fundraising training, leaving them dependent on unpredictable grants or donor networks. Early feedback shows participants want practical tools they can apply immediatelyโ€”like donor mapping and grant writing templates. The organization plans to add advanced modules in donor psychology and digital campaigns next year.

If successful, the program could become a benchmark for nonprofit fundraising education worldwide. Unlike expensive university certificates, Mission Increase charges no tuition and offers materials in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. The goal is to train 50,000 fundraisers by 2030, aiming to shift the sector from scarcity mindsets to sustainable growth strategies.
